Cat Kamrath

Cat Kamrath is a dance artist currently residing in Salt Lake City, UT. As a dance performer, choreographer, filmmaker, and educator, her career has spanned throughout the state of California and now east into the mountains. She is in her final year of MFA candidacy in the Department of Modern Dance at the University of Utah. Cat received her BA in Dance, with honors, from Loyola Marymount University and is a Certified Laban/Bartenieff Movement Analyst from the Integrated Movement Studies program. As a performing artist, she has been a featured and ensemble dancer in choreographed works by Lauren Adams, Meghan Durham Wall, Marjani Forté, Barak Marshall, and Andrew Palermo. Her former company work has included collaborating with Troy Macklin, Saki Suto’s Scratch 4 Bloomin’ jazz dance company, and MAKedance under the artistic direction of Melanie King McGray. Her choreographic works have been presented in Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Salt Lake City.

Cat is a seasonal guest faculty and performing artist at the San Ramon Valley Dance Academy in CA.  She is a stage manager for the Hayes-Christensen Theatre located in the Marriott Center for Dance on the University of Utah campus.
