Natalie Gotter

Natalie started dancing in Minneapolis, Minnesota with dance training from the Youth Dance Ensemble and School under Dixie Rairamo. She received her early modern training from Cathy Wright. Natalie attended Tulane University where she received her Bachelors of Arts in Communication with dual minors in Dance and Music Performance. While completing her degrees, she was a member of the Newcomb Dance Company performing works by John Allen, Michaela Cannon, Beverly Trask and Juan Carlos Claudio. She was also selected to attend the Skiing on Skin contact improvisation festival in Helsinki, Finland and perform at the Alwin Nikolais Centennial Dance Celebration in New York under Alberto Saaz. Professionally, Natalie has been seen creating and performing with Gorilla Tango Theater and Matter Dance Company in Chicago, IL. She was also a choreographer and performer for Avatar Movement Dance Company and performer and rehearsal director for Tsunami Dance Company in New Orleans. Natalie has been awarded numerous performance scholarships, academic scholarships and choreography scholarships for her work throughout the years. Her choreographic work can currently be seen throughout the Salt Lake area. Recently, she has been a master teacher at programs in Minneapolis, New Orleans and Salt Lake City. Natalie is currently a second year graduate student at the University of Utah receiving her Masters of Fine Arts in Modern Dance. Natalie is thrilled to be joining the Performing Dance Center team and sharing her love of dance.
